
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that over 28,000 youth have got government jobs in the State during the last four and a half years. He was addressing a programme organised to distribute appointment letters to the newly recruited primary teachers at the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), Dehradun on Wednesday. In the programme the CM handed over appointment letters to 1,035 assistant teachers (Primary education), including 17 special educators. Dhami said that the number of jobs secured by youth in the past four and a half years is more than double the number since the State’s formation and during the tenures of previous governments. The government is committed to ensuring that no one compromises the future of the youth. The CM expressed hope that these young teachers will play a vital role in improving the standard of education in Uttarakhand. He emphasised that from today, the important responsibility of shaping the future of the State rests on their shoulders. He believes that when a child receives quality and cultured education, they not only shape their own lives but also contribute significantly to the development of society and the nation. “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State government is continuously working to modernise and enhance the education system,” Dhami said. He added that extensive reforms are being implemented at every level, including strengthening school infrastructure, promoting digital education, providing teacher training and focusing on skill development. In his address, Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that over 11,500 appointments have been made in the Education department in the past four and a half years and the recruitment process for over 3,500 different positions is currently underway. He stated that special attention is being paid to innovation in education throughout the State.
