PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has accepted the demand of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged paper leak case of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination. The CM surprised everyone when in the afternoon his convoy reached the agitation site of Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS) near Parade Ground on Monday. When the president of the UBS, Ram Kandwal submitted a memorandum, the CM made a note of CBI inquiry on it on the spot. After listening to the youth’s perspective, the CM said that he himself was unhappy with the fact that they were protesting in the scorching heat during this festive season. Dhami stated that the government’s sole commitment was to ensure a completely transparent examination process. For the past four years, the government has worked in accordance with this commitment. Touching an emotional chord with youngsters, the CM said that he understands that they prepare hard for government jobs after completing their studies. He said he has personally witnessed such situations and experienced them while working among students and youth. Addressing the youngsters the CM said that the recent incident is being investigated by an SIT under the supervision of a retired High Court judge. The committee has begun work, but the youth are still demanding a CBI investigation, so the government will recommend a CBI inquiry into the matter. He also assured that all the cases registered on the youngsters during the recent protests will be withdrawn. The CM said if he had wanted, this conversation could have taken place in his office, but seeing the plight of the youth, he has decided to come to the protest site himself. He added that the State government has recruited more than 25,000 youngsters in different departments in the last four years in a transparent manner.
