
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed rallies and took out road shows in support of Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in poll-bound Bihar on Friday. The CM took part in the nomination rally of the BJP candidate Deveshkant Singh in Goriyakothi Assembly constituency. The Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also accompanied Dhami and the BJP candidate in the nomination rally. Addressing the rally, Dhami said that the huge enthusiasm shown by the people in the rally has clearly shown that Singh is heading towards a landslide victory. He said that the double-engine government of Bihar under leadership of CM Nitish Kumar has taken the State forward on the path of development. Dhami said that development at a fast pace is underway in all the districts of the State. Taking a dig at the Congress, Dhami said that during its rule one only heard the slogan of Garibi Hatao but actual work for alleviation of poverty was initiated under BJP rule. He said that more than 30 crore people have come out of poverty. The CM averred that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work for rejuvenation of religious and cultural heritages is underway in the country. He said that the construction of the temple of Shri Ram in Ayodhya, Kashi corridor and reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham are examples of this transformation. He said that Uttarakhand has become the first State in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code and has taken action on Love, Land and Spit Jihad. Strict action on the illegal madarsas has been taken in Uttarakhand and the government has started Operation Kalnemi against the religious hypocrites. Targeting the Congress and RJD, the Uttarakhand CM said that both these parties are engaged in dynasty politics and appeasement. The Lalu family has left behind the Congress in corruption, he added. Dhami expressed confidence that the people of Bihar will again give their mandate to the NDA. After Goriyakothi, Dhami also took out roadshows and held public meetings in Siwan and Warisaliganj on the day.
