Dehradun, 27 Nov: “Ye shaan hai , Ye maan hai, watan ka ye samman hai, chale watan isi se hai, yahi mera abhimaan hai, ye mera samvidhaaan hai” – with these resonant lines, the Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University witnessed a dignified and inspiring commencement of the Constitution Day celebration in its Auditorium on Wednesday.
The event aimed to deepen understanding of the core values of the Indian Constitution and to awaken democratic responsibility among the youth. Subharti Education Group showcased its unwavering commitment.
The programme was ably conducted by Faisal, who warmly welcomed all esteemed guests, faculty members and students, highlighting the true significance of Constitution Day in his impactful opening remarks.
The event was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Himanshu Aeran and Registrar Khalid Hasan, who lit the ceremonial lamp. They were assisted by students Tanisha and Sanyukta, exemplifying meaningful youth participation.
The rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ by students Preeti, Pretty, Sameekshya, Palak and Riya infused the entire auditorium with a vibrant spirit of patriotism.
Vice Chancellor Dr Himanshu Aeran then delivered his address. He emphasised, “The Constitution of India does not merely grant rights—it entrusts every citizen with fundamental duties. Discipline, responsibility and national interest form the true foundation of a strong democracy.”
Students Ramlakhan and Vanshika presented insightful perspectives on the history, structure and contemporary relevance of the Constitution. Their speeches effectively highlighted the social impact and democratic strength of the Constitution through the lens of the new generation.
Dr Imran Khan, in his address, stressed the indispensable role of youth power. He stated that today’s youth are the future guardians of the Constitution—if they balance rights with responsibilities, the nation will continue to grow stronger.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Faisal, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants and the university fraternity, followed by the formal declaration of the event’s successful completion.
