Dehradun, 28 Nov: A delegation of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), led by Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami here today and extended a formal invitation to the National Public Relations Convention scheduled to be held in Dehradun on 13, 14 and 15 December. The delegation presented the convention brochure to the CM and also shared with him a detailed account of the organisation’s activities and objectives.
The delegation informed him that the central theme of this year’s convention will be “Role of Public Relations in Viksit Bharat@2047”. More than 300 delegates from various states across the country are expected to attend the conference. In view of the Silver Jubilee Year of Uttarakhand, special sessions will be organised during the convention to highlight the state’s development journey, achievements and future prospects.
Dhami expressed happiness over the national convention being hosted in Dehradun and noted that the role of Public Relations is crucial in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 as articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He observed that the PR mediums can play a vital role in promoting Uttarakhand’s tourism, culture and local products through effective branding. The Chief Minister further underlined the importance of discussions on the constructive use of social media, sustained dialogue with the public, prevention of misinformation, and the increasing impact of artificial intelligence in the media and public relations sector.
Present on the occasion were President and Assistant Director, State Information Department, Ravi Bijarnia, Secretary Anil Sati, Treasurer Suresh Bhatt, Convener Siddharth Bansal, along with members Vaibhav Goyal, Anil Verma, Ajay Dabral, Sanjay Bhargav and Priyank Vashishtha of the PRSI Dehradun Chapter.
