Haldwani (Nainital), 29 Nov: Nainital Police have detained a Maulvi from Banbhulpura in Haldwani and another person from a particular community from the Rajpura area for questioning in connection with the Delhi bomb blast case and a suspected Kashmir connection. The detentions were made on the basis of inputs shared by the Central agencies, confirmed Inspector General Ridhim Agarwal.
According to police sources, information received from the Central agencies regarding the Delhi blast and its suspected Kashmir connection led to the initial detention of a Maulvi from the Banbhulpura locality. Following his preliminary interrogation, the police detained a second person from Rajpura, who is also being questioned. The police however has so far refrained from disclosing the identities of the two detainees or the specific grounds that prompted their detention.
Speaking to the media, IG, Kumaon, Ridhim Agarwal stated that both the suspects are being interrogated in light of certain inputs received. She added that Central agencies have been apprised of the detention of these two suspects.
