Dehradun, 10 Dec: Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar, commenced its 15-day induction programme, “Ayurpraveshika”, for the newly admitted batch of 2025–26 today at the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium, Uttaranchal University. The programme aims to introduce students to the rich heritage of Ayurveda, academic culture and institutional values.
The event commenced with the traditional Deep Prajwalan followed by the soulful Dhanvantari Vandana, invoking blessings for wisdom, healing, and prosperity.
After the invocation, a felicitation ceremony was held to honour and welcome the esteemed guests, marking the beginning of an inspiring academic journey for the new students.
The event proceeded with a warm welcome address by Dr Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR, who encouraged students to embrace discipline, dedication, and curiosity as they begin their professional journey in Ayurveda.
The highlight of the session was the address by the Chief Guest, Prof (Dr) Arun Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, UAU, whose motivational words inspired students to pursue excellence, uphold ethical values, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Ayurveda. The programme was graced by the presence of Guest of Honor Narendra Singh, Registrar, UAU.
The inaugural programme was further graced by respected dignitaries including President of Uttaranchal University Jitender Joshi and Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi. Their presence added prestige and encouragement to the ceremony.
The event was anchored by Dr Komal Dhiman and Dr Satwinder Kaur who kept the audience engaged with their graceful coordination throughout the programme.
The dance performance by BAMS Batch 2024 and vocal performance by Dr Deepak Prasad Raturi, Assistant Professor, Sanskrit, added a touch of elegance to the event.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Ravi Joshi, Principal, UMCAR, who expressed gratitude to the guests, students and all Faculty members.
All Faculty members of UMCAR participated in the programme with their dedicated efforts namely Dr Vibhooti Chandrakar, Dr Govind Malik, Dr Kanu Ohri, Dr Jyoti, Dr Sunita, Dr Vidhushi, Dr Vidyarani Joshi, Dr Savita Pawar, Dr Nandini, Dr Richa Bhatt, Dr Preeti, Dr Rupali Purohit, Dr Lippi, Chandramohan, Madhav, etc.
