
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that as per the latest report of Rural Development and Migration Prevention Commission, the State has witnessed 44 per cent increase in the rate of reverse migration. He was addressing a programme organised at Shashbani, Bhimtal in Nainital district on Friday. He said that the State has witnessed a decline of 4.4 per cent in the unemployment rate and in the Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) index of Niti Aayog, Uttarakhand has been placed at number one position in the country. The CM said that the State enacted the most stringent anti-copying law of the country after which more than 26,000 youngsters were provided government jobs in a transparent manner. The government has sent more than 100 copying mafia behind the bars and under the zero tolerance policy against corruption, vigilance action on more than 200 government employees has been taken. Dhami said that Uttarakhand is achieving new dimensions of development under guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that infrastructure is being developed at a fast pace in all sectors including roads, education, health and drinking water. He said that work on development of many ancient temples including Kainchi Dham, Naina Devi and Mukteshwar Dham is going on in a mission mode. The CM added that schemes such as ‘One district- Two Products’, ‘House of Himalayas’, ‘ State Millet Misson’, Homestays, Wed in Uttarakhand are providing a new impetus to the local economy. In the programme the CM inaugurated and laid the foundation of 17 projects worth Rs 112 core. He said that the government is working for the all round development of Nainital district. Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida, district Panchayat president Deepa Darmwal and others attended the programme.
