DEHRADUN, 13 Dec: The Crime Literature Festival of India will host a compelling discussion titled Behind the Badge: Stories Built for the Big Screen today (Sunday), the final day of the ongoing festival. This discussion will be bringing together celebrated retired police officer KK Gautam, Bollywood actor Tridha Choudhury and senior journalist, actor and Editor of my uttarakhand news, Satish Sharma. The session will explore how real-life policing narratives translate into cinematic storytelling, with the proposed web series on the life of KK Gautam forming the core of the conversation.
It may be recalled that Gautam’s career, which began with a high-risk encounter with a dreaded criminal in Bulandshahr and went on to include decisive action against organised crime, terrorism and corruption, offers a rare blend of grit, integrity and dramatic intensity. At the same time, Tridha Choudhury, who gained wide recognition for her performance in the popular web series Ashram, will share her perspective on portraying complex, morally layered characters rooted in reality, while Satish Sharma will discuss the challenges and responsibilities of adapting true police stories for the screen.
The session promises an inside look at how authentic law enforcement experiences can be shaped into powerful narratives for contemporary audiences.
