

Feature Films Iconic Awards 2025: Powerful Shield for Promoting Regional Cinema

Mumbai, 16 Dec: Under the banner of Shahid Entertainment, the Feature Films Iconic Awards 2025 was successfully held at Cultural Hub, Andheri West. The main objective of this prestigious award ceremony was to promote regional cinema and bring it on par with mainstream Bollywood cinema.

The event witnessed the presence of many eminent personalities from the film industry, including renowned producers, directors, and actors such as Kamal Mukut, Himani Shivpuri, MM Farooqui (Lilipuṭ), Nasir Khan, Manmohan Tiwari, Shashi Sharma, Rajesh Puri, Rajkumar Kanojia, and Shaan Mishra. The evening was further enlivened by performances from comedian Mubeen Saudagar and international actor Simran Ahuja, who added great charm and entertainment to the show.

Programming head of FFIA Shalu Sharma stated that the initiative aims to elevate regional cinema to the same platform as Bollywood, as cinema is a reflection of society. Regional films play a vital role in promoting local art, culture, language, and tourism, while also providing a meaningful platform for talented artists.

A total of 11 films were submitted for the awards, representing diverse languages such as Gujarati, Marathi, Assamese, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Garhwali, Rajasthani, Tamil, and Hindi. Producers, directors, and artists associated with these films were honoured during the ceremony. The awarded films included Badla Ganga Geeta Ka, Nikhanya Jog (Garhwali), Mom Tane Nai Samje, Jilbi, Dance, Tomchi, Dal Roti, Sala, Jammu 86 Gangwar, Tandav 2, and Xitore Jameka Rati.

invaluable contribution of regional filmmakers and artists.
