Dehradun, 23 Dec: A grand Vintage Car Rally was organised in Dehradun under the aegis of DSOM&I (Dehradun), at which rare and memorable vehicles from the past attracted immense attention from automobile enthusiasts.
The rally featured a special participation of antique and classic cars personally owned by social, educational, and cultural personality Dr Syed Farooq. He participated with 9 vehicles which left a lasting impression on the audience.
During the rally, vintage vehicles from different eras were displayed, including an old military jeep, classic sedan cars, and other historically significant automobiles. All these vehicles remained a major attraction for visitors due to their original condition and excellent maintenance. Dr Syed Farooq was present at the venue and, along with the Secretary of DSOM&I Dehradun, Lt Col Vikas Gosain (Retd), interacted with participants and shared insights about the history, features, and importance of the vintage cars.
Organisers and automobile enthusiasts participating in the rally stated that such events not only help preserve automobile heritage but also connect the younger generation with history and cultural awareness.
The Vintage Car Rally organised by DSOM&I Dehradun was described as a memorable and highly successful event for the city.
