Dehradun, 23 Dec: Tula’s Institute witnessed a series of significant academic engagements today with the visit of Professor Jagmohan Singh Rana, President, Vidya Bharti Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan, Uttarakhand.The visit marked an important interaction with faculty members on the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and the launch of the poster for the Bharat Bodh–IKS National Examination 2026, followed by the celebration of National Mathematics Day.During the faculty interaction session, Prof Dr JMS Rana discussed key academic and higher education–related issues, with a special focus on the role and vision of Vidya Bharti Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan. He elaborated on the objectives, structure, and national significance of the Bharat Bodh–IKS examination, emphasising its role in connecting students with India’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage while strengthening their academic outlook and critical thinking abilities.National Mathematics Day was also celebrated at Tula’s Institute to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Prof Dr JMS Rana paid rich tribute to Ramanujan, highlighting his extraordinary contributions to the field of mathematics and underscoring the importance of logical thinking, creativity, and perseverance in academic and research pursuits. He shared inspiring reflections on how Ramanujan’s life and work continue to motivate students and scholars across generations.The event was also graced by Prof Anita Rawat, who spoke on the relevance of mathematics in higher education and its interdisciplinary applications. She emphasised the need to nurture analytical skills and a research-oriented mindset among students.As a mark of appreciation, Prof Dr JMS Rana honoured the faculty members of the Department of Mathematics by presenting them with books, acknowledging their valuable contribution to teaching, mentoring, and academic excellence.Faculty members and students actively participated in the day’s events, making the programme intellectually enriching and inspiring.
