Special prayer services were held in the city’s churches on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ, at which messages of love, peace, and brotherhood were communicated. A large crowd of devotees thronged the churches from midnight onwards, making the entire city vibrant with spiritual energy and enthusiasm.On the occasion of Christmas, the main churches and surrounding areas of Mussoorie were decorated with flowers, colourful garlands, and attractive lights. As darkness fell, the twinkling lights transformed the entire city into a festive wonderland.
Tourists were also mesmerised by this enchanting sight. A midnight mass was held on Christmas Eve. Pastor Vivek, while delivering a message from the Bible, said that the life of Lord Jesus shows the path of love, forgiveness, sacrifice, and service to humanity. During the prayers, wishes were made for world peace, mutual harmony, and human welfare.
Devotees sang carols in the church premises. Songs like “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World” made the atmosphere emotional and devotional. Children and young people also participated enthusiastically, adding more colour to the celebrations. After the prayers, devotees lit candles to pay homage to Lord Jesus and prayed for peace, love, and happiness in the world. This scene was very emotional and inspiring.Prem Singh and Rohit Prasad of the Christian community in Mussoorie said that, on the occasion of Christmas, people of all religions celebrated the festival together. Greetings were exchanged, and messages of love and harmony were given, which further strengthened social unity.
A large number of tourists arrived in Mussoorie on the occasion of Christmas, adding to the vibrancy of the markets and tourist spots. Hotels and cafes were also seen decorated with Christmas themes.Overall, the Christmas 2025 celebrations in Mussoorie once again conveyed the message that love, peace, and brotherhood are the true essence of humanity. The entire city was immersed in the spirit of “Merry Christmas”.
