Dehradun, 26 Dec: On the occasion of Good Governance Day, an orientation programme on the theme of Ideological Discourse was organised by Prachar Aayam under the aegis of Devbhoomi Vichar Manch (Prajna Pravah–Uttarakhand). Experts associated with society, education, media, technology, and research participated in the programme.The thematic introduction was presented by Dr Ravi Sharan Dixit. On this occasion, Manoj Kumar Jha, State Editor of Dainik Jagran, stated that positive, fact-based, and responsible dialogue lays a strong foundation for good governance, and that this process should begin with discipline at the family level. He emphasised that self-discipline must start from within. To preserve culture, it is necessary to make future generations aware, and in this process, continuity of study and original research is essential to enable society to encounter truth. Jha further noted that ideological conflicts may arise during this process, which can only be addressed through original thinking and intellectual depth. Therefore, understanding the vastness of the Indian Knowledge Tradition is crucial.
Addressing the programme, Dr Devendra Bhasin, Vice Chairman of the Higher Education Advancement Council, Uttarakhand, highlighted the link between higher education, ideological training, and good governance. He stated that fostering intellectual discipline and moral values among youth is the need of the hour, and that the National Education Policy 2020 will prove to be effective and impactful in this direction.While guiding the participants, Bhagwati Prasad Raghav, Convener of Prajna Pravah, stated that the originality of the subject can be integrated with social welfare, cultural consciousness, and the concept of good governance through Prachar Aayam, and adopted for public welfare. He urged the youth not to fall into the web of misinformation, but instead play a leading role in disseminating facts based on deep study and authenticated research to the masses through modern technological communication platforms for the benefit of humanity.The programme was conducted by Prof HC Purohit, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Rajesh Bhatt and Dr Sudhanshu Joshi. On this occasion, Prof MM Semwal, Prof Rakesh Rayal, Dr Manoj Kumar Purohit, Dr Suman Gusain, Dr Narendra Rawal, Dr Ankit Nagar, Dr Ajit Pawar, Dr Manvendra Bartwal, Vishal Verma, along with several academicians, were present. Dhananjay, RSS vibhag pramukh, was also present as a special guest.
