Dehradun, 26 Dec: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today participated as the Chief Guest in a program organised on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas in the Premnagar area, here.
On this occasion, he formally inaugurated an inspirational exhibition organised to mark Veer Bal Diwas. The Cabinet Minister paid heartfelt tributes to Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. During the programme, he also paid homage to the great freedom fighter and symbol of revolutionary consciousness, Shaheed Udham Singh, on his birth anniversary.
Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that Veer Bal Diwas is a symbol of unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and martyrdom in the history of the country. He stated that the bravery, patience, and inner strength displayed at a very young age by the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh serve as a source of inspiration for generations to come. He emphasised that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas teaches us that protecting the nation, faith, and human values requires not age, but firm resolve and courage. He further said that the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to observe 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas is a historic step towards connecting the children and youth of the country with its glorious history, and expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for this initiative.
The Cabinet Minister said that in present times, youth should draw inspiration from the lives of great personalities and adopt the values of national service, discipline, and morality. He noted that such events help inculcate patriotism, values, and a sense of duty toward the nation among children.
While reviewing the exhibition, Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the lives, struggles, and sacrifices of the Sahibzadas have been presented in a highly impactful manner through pictures, information, and historical facts. He congratulated the organising committee for this inspirational effort.
On this occasion, Cantonment MLA Savita Kapoor, BJP Metropolitan President Siddharth Agrawal, Dilbagh Singh, Monty Singh, Rahul Chauhan, Ashish Sharma, Amit Bhatia, and several others were also present.
