BIROKHAL (PAURI) 27 Dec: Minister and MLA from Chaubattakhal, Satpal Maharaj, once again presented a major development gift to the people of his Assembly constituency by inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various development schemes worth Rs 6,387.51 lakh (approx. Rs 64 crore). He participated as the Chief Guest in programmes organized at village Nagani and Government High School, Devikhal, Kotha, in development block Birokhal.
On the third day of his regional tour, Saturday, Satpal Maharaj inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple projects. At village Nagani, under the State Plan of the Public Works Department, he inaugurated the improvement and reconstruction work of the Rasiya Mahadev–Nau–Nagani–Chittadkhal motor road, costing ₹1,480.55 lakh. He also laid the foundation stone for the improvement and road safety work of the late Shri Geeta Ram Pokhariyal Motor Road (Sarai Khet–Marchula–Baijro–Pokhra–Satpuli State Highway), a 32 km-long project being executed under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund at a cost of ₹5,759.62 lakh.
Additionally, under the Education Department, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of a building at Government Higher Secondary School, Devikhal Kotha, to be built at a cost of Rs 46.74 lakh.
The Cabinet Minister also inaugurated the Government Upper Primary School building at Devikhal, constructed at a cost of Rs 28.14 lakh, and the Government Inter College building at Ghordiyana Khal, built at a cost of Rs 224.24 lakh. Panchayat buildings constructed at a cost of Rs 60.00 lakh in the Gram Panchayats of Chandoli, Talai, Dumaila Malla, Kota, Sungariya Bada, and Mangaur were also inaugurated.
Further, under the Minor Irrigation Division, Srinagar, he inaugurated a lift irrigation scheme in village Dangu Talla, constructed at a cost of ₹77.08 lakh, and a solar-based lift irrigation scheme in village Bungidhar Malla, costing Rs 43.14 lakh. Through these initiatives, development projects worth Rs 6,387.51 lakh were dedicated to the Birokhal block.
Minister Satpal Maharaj said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, holistic development is taking place not only across the state but also in the Chaubattakhal Assembly constituency. During his visit, he also held a meeting with BJP office-bearers, workers, booth presidents, BLA-2s, Shakti Kendra conveners, and current and former office-bearers of the Birokhal Mandal, urging them to take government development schemes to the grassroots level.
Present on the occasion were BJP youth leader Suyash Rawat, Birokhal BJP Mandal President Ompal, General Secretary Surendra Dhondiyal, Mukesh, Gram Pradhan Jagmohan Patwal, District Panchayat Member Shanti Devi, District Vice President Maitri Prakash, former District Panchayat Member Sarita Pokhariyal, Block Panchayat Members Deepa Devi, Subhash Dhyani, Basant Rawat, Prem Singh, SDM Krishna Tripathi, Varsa Bhardwaj, school Principal Amrita Rawat, officials from the Public Works Department and Panchayati Raj Department, along with several BJP workers and office-bearers.
