These views were expressed by State Cabinet Minister and Chaubattakhal MLA Satpal Maharaj while addressing the Atal Smriti Ceremony organised on Sunday at a local wedding point on the occasion of the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Expressing happiness, Maharaj said that the entire nation is observing Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary. Even in adverse circumstances, the great leader never compromised on his thoughts and values.
Maharaj described Vajpayee as a skilled administrator, a powerful orator, a sensitive poet, and a visionary statesman who gave India a new identity on the global stage. He established a strong tradition of integrity, consensus, and dialogue in politics.
Maharaj said that the Pokhran nuclear tests, the Golden Quadrilateral project, and the policy of dialogue with neighboring countries are historic examples of Atal’s far-sighted leadership.
On this occasion, BJP District President Kamal Kishore, Irrigation Advisor Rishi Kandwal, BJP Kisan Morcha District President Ashok Duklan, BJP Mahila Morcha District President Pramila Bhandari, BJP Scheduled Morcha District President Narendra Tamta, Mandal President Sarvendra Pahadi, Shailendra Darshan, Rakesh Naithani, District Minister Vrijmohan Rawat, Manish Kukhsal, BJP District General Secretary Mahipal Singh Negi, District Panchayat Member Balwant Singh, Mahendra Rana, Narendra Dandariyal, along with all Shakti Kendra conveners, in-charges, current and former office bearers, and party workers were present.
