Dehradun, 30 Dec: With a view to ensuring the protection of voters’ franchise ahead of the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision, the BLO Outreach Campaign currently underway in Uttarakhand has been extended till 10 January. As part of the pre-SIR activities, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are reaching out to every voter across the state to establish coordination and effective communication. Under the campaign, the existing voter list is being mapped with the electoral roll of 2003, and so far nearly 65 per cent of voters have already been mapped with the 2003 voter list during the pre-SIR phase.
Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das stated that, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, the BLO Outreach Campaign has been underway since 1 December, 2025, on the initiative of Chief Election Officer (CEO) BVRC Purushottam. He said that due to the tireless efforts of EROs, BLOs and field officers associated with the campaign, nearly 65 per cent mapping of voters has been completed within a very limited timeframe. Keeping in view the convenience of voters and the importance of comprehensive coverage, it has been decided to continue the campaign till 10 January 2026.
Das further explained that during the pre-SIR phase, voters aged 38 years or above whose names appear in both the current voter list and the 2003 electoral roll are being directly mapped through the BLO app. He added that in cases where voters’ names do not appear in the 2003 voter list for any reason, but the names of their parents are recorded in the 2003 roll, such voters are being mapped as progeny on the basis of their parents’ or grandparents’ names. He further informed that the 2003 voter list can be searched on the websites www.ceo.uk.gov.in and www.voters.eci.gov.in.
Appealing to the general public, the Assistant Chief Electoral Officer urged the voters to extend full cooperation by providing the required information to Booth Level Officers. He claimed that to safeguard the voting rights of every eligible citizen, BLOs are making dedicated efforts to ensure coordination, communication and outreach with each voter across the state.
