DEHRADUN, 5 Jan: The Prakash Parb (birth anniversary) of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated on Sunday with great devotion and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Istri Satsang, Mohini Road.On this occasion, the Ragis performed Gurbani Kirtan, and the life and history of Guru Sahib were shared with the congregation.During the programme, the Chairman of Doon International School, Sardar Davinder Singh Mann, honoured two children, Parnavat Singh and Divjot Singh, on stage for the bravery and courage they had shown, and presented them with tokens of appreciation. On this occasion, the President of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Sardar Gurbakhsh Singh Rajan, along with other dignitaries, was present and encouraged the children.For the excellent arrangements and successful organisation of this event, the President of the Gurdwara Committee, Harjeet Kaur Gambhir; Secretary, Gulsharan Kaur Rajan; Joint Secretary, Komaldeep Kaur Gambhir; Treasurer, Raminder Kaur Mann; and the entire committee were highly appreciated by the congregation.Finally, after the Ardas, Langar was served, and the congregation thanked the organisers for the successful conduct of the programme.
