Dehradun, 6 Jan: As part of the ‘Government at Every Doorstep’ initiative, a multipurpose camp was organised today at Gram Panchayat Khadri Khadak Mafi under the Shyampur Nyay Panchayat. The camp, chaired by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Yogesh Mehra, became a platform for grievance redressal where 17 out of 60 complaints received were resolved instantly. The administration claims that the effort reflects the Chief Minister’s commitment to ensuring prompt solutions to the problems faced by residents in the state’s remote villages.
A similar camp was also organised today in Jhajra Nyaya Panchayat and a large number of complaints were received and resolved.
During the programme held at Shyampur, Rishikesh MLA Premchand Aggarwal, Madhu Bhatt and Surendra Moga, and SDM Yogesh Mehra inspected stalls set up by various departments. The Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development distributed Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kits to three women and baby kits to 10 beneficiaries. Several departments also provided detailed information about public welfare schemes to the rural participants.
On this occasion, SDM Yogesh Mehra stressed that the swift resolution of public grievances remains the foremost priority of the administration. He directed the concerned departments to ensure time-bound and effective disposal of the remaining complaints. Residents from Shyampur, Rishikesh, Garhi Mehchak, Gumaniwala, Visthapit, Raiwala, and Bhatowala raised issues related to land, roads, drinking water, social welfare, and electricity.
Of the 60 complaints, 15 pertained to the Revenue Department, 7 to Irrigation, 6 each to Electricity and Forest departments, 3 to Transport, and 2 each to Rural Development, Drinking Water, Education, Panchayati Raj, National Highways, District Panchayat, Animal Husbandry and Home departments. Single complaints were registered for Banking, Public Works, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Child Development, Labour, and Environment departments.
Altogether, 1,292 persons availed the services at the camp on this occasion. The Health Department conducted medical check-ups for 170 people, while the Homeopathic and Ayurvedic departments treated 82 and 26 patients respectively, distributing free medicines. The Animal Husbandry Department provided veterinary medicines to 259 farmers.
The Revenue Department issued 36 certificates including income, status, and character certificates, and processed applications under the PM Kisan Yojana. The Agriculture Department assisted 45 farmers, while the Horticulture Department supported 18 farmers with machinery, seeds, and PM Kisan Nidhi benefits. Social Welfare officials sanctioned pensions for 60 beneficiaries under old-age, widow, and disability categories. The District Supply Department completed KYC formalities for 11 ration card holders. In addition, benefits were extended to 107 individuals under NRLM, 45 under the Dairy Department, 50 under Cooperation, 43 under Electricity, and 93 under the REEP project.
In Jhajra Nyaya Pancahyat, the camp was chaired by Tehsildar Vivek Rajouri and here, 633 beneficiaries availed the services. In addition, 98 complaints were received of which 37 were resolved on the spot. Here the camp also witnessed the participation of local MLA Sahdev Pundeer and senior dignitaries.
