Dehradun, 6 Jan: In a significant step towards strengthening the state’s workforce, Animal Husbandry Minister Saurabh Bahuguna distributed appointment letters to candidates selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) and the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC). The ceremony was organised at the Vidhan Sabha auditorium, where newly recruited personnel formally joined the Department of Animal Husbandry and the Department of Skill Development and Employment.
Extending his congratulations to the appointees on this occasion, Bahuguna said that while the appointment marks an important milestone, the real responsibility for those appointed begins from this point onwards. He emphasised that the newly inducted employees would have a crucial role in ensuring effective implementation and speedy execution of schemes and projects being run by their respective departments. He also expressed confidence that the overall progress and efficiency of the departments would depend largely on their dedication, cooperation and spirit of teamwork.
On the occasion, the Minister handed over appointment letters to 16 pharmacists appointed in the Animal Husbandry Department and 37 foreman Instructors recruited in the Employment Department. Describing the development as historic, he pointed out that this is the first time since the formation of Uttarakhand that such a recruitment exercise has been carried out for the Employment Department. He added that the government is committed to linking every eligible individual with employment opportunities and that the distribution of appointment letters constituted an important step towards realising this objective.
Among those present on the occasion were Additional Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Santosh Badoni, Director, Training, Sanjay Khetwal and other senior officers of the departments concerned.
