

FICCI FLO Convention 2026 inaugurated

Dehradun, 7 Jan: The FICCI FLO Convention 2026, organised by the FICCI Ladies Organisations (FICCI FLO) Uttarakhand Chapter, was inaugurated here, today, in a highly dignified and inspiring atmosphere. The theme of this two-day convention is “The Power to Empower”, which aims to connect women with digital empowerment, entrepreneurial development, government participation, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The first day of the convention began with a grand inaugural session, graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, and other distinguished guests. On this occasion, he shared his views on women’s empowerment, the start-up culture, and the crucial role of women in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
On this occasion, Dr Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of the FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter, in her presidential address, described women’s entrepreneurship as the backbone of the economic development of the state and the country. She said that “The Power to Empower” is not just a theme, but a powerful movement towards making women self-reliant, capable, and leaders. She added that when women engage in entrepreneurship, they empower not only their families but also society and the nation.
Following this, various technical sessions were held at the convention:
Technical Session 1: Digital Literacy
In this session, Ankush Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police (Intelligence & Security), Uttarakhand, provided important information on the topic “Cyber Awareness Matters: Let’s Learn Why and How We Can Escape”, covering cybercrime prevention, digital security, and cyber awareness.
In this session, Juhi Khanna (Expert) and Karishma Dingra, on the topic “AI for Building Marketing Business,” highlighted the practical aspects of empowering business and marketing through artificial intelligence.
Technical Session 2: Government Partnerships towards Realising the PM’s Vision
This session, based on the theme “Women as Architects of Viksit Bharat,” discussed in detail the various entrepreneurship promotion schemes for women run by the Government of Uttarakhand. A panel discussion with subject matter experts was also organised on this occasion.
Technical Session 3: From Soil to Shelf
This session discussed the vast potential of organic farming, horticulture, and food processing sectors in Uttarakhand, which can provide new opportunities for livelihood generation and economic prosperity for women entrepreneurs. The panel discussion, conducted by experts, emphasised women’s participation and sustainable development.
The conference, organised by the FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter, is proving to be a significant initiative in providing women with knowledge, networking, and new opportunities. The upcoming sessions of the conference will feature in-depth discussions on various topics related to women’s leadership, innovation, and economic empowerment.
Many dignitaries, including Dr Surekha Dangwal, Madhu Bhatt, and Kusum Kandwal, were present as special guests on this occasion. All the speakers emphasised giving women a distinct identity and strengthening their role in building a developed India.
