Ranikhet, 8 Jan: Faculty members of Government Post Graduate College, Ranikhet, have been awarded state-level recognition for their research contributions under the Chief Minister’s Excellence Research Paper Publication Incentive Scheme for the academic session 2025–26. The recognition has been announced through an official government order issued by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand.

As per the order, the research work undertaken by Dr. Bharat Pandey and Dr Prasoon Joshi from the Department of Chemistry, Dr Prachi Joshi from the Department of Botany, and Dr Pramod Joshi from the Department of Zoology has been selected after evaluation by a panel of subject experts.

The scheme has been introduced to promote quality research among faculty members of colleges and universities across the state and to strengthen the culture of academic research in higher education. Published research papers in science disciplines were assessed on the basis of originality, relevance, and academic merit.

The selection of faculty members from multiple science departments reflects the consistent academic efforts and growing research orientation at Government PG College, Ranikhet. The achievement is expected to encourage students to actively engage in research and scientific inquiry.
Principal Prof Pushpesh Pande congratulated the selected faculty members and stated that the recognition highlights the collective academic commitment of the institution. He expressed confidence that the college will continue to make meaningful contributions to research and higher education at the state and national levels.
