DEHRADUN, 10 Jan: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran met the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Anti-Corruption Bureau, Dehradun, at his Indira Nagar office here in connection with the ongoing CBI investigation into the graduate-level examination case, and submitted a memorandum.
In his memorandum, Ravindra Jugran stated that if the ongoing investigation is to be taken to a concrete conclusion and the cheating mafia and all those associated with it are to be completely uprooted and eliminated, the suggestions given in the memorandum should be duly considered. He emphasized that for this purpose, the scope of the investigation must be expanded, as limiting the probe only to the Bahadrabad–Jatt Centre in Haridwar is not sufficient. He pointed out that during the same examination, a case had also come to light in Uttarkashi, where members of an unemployed youth organization had made a video recording viral. The video showed answer sheets being solved with an assurance of passing the examination, and it also mentioned monetary transactions. Similarly, in the year 2021, around 70–80 suspects were booked through FIRs in the UKSSSC graduate-level examination, and several arrests were made. The investigation in that case was conducted by the police/STF, and Hakam Singh was also arrested.
In the same manner, during the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination 2020, an incident of cheating using Bluetooth devices was reported in Haridwar. This case was also investigated by the STF, and Hakam Singh was again among the accused.
In his memorandum, Ravindra Jugran suggested to the DIG, CBI, that to reach all the culprits and completely dismantle the cheating mafia, the investigation should be conducted by connecting all related links, which would ensure definite success.
The DIG, CBI, assured Ravindra Jugran that the suggestions given in the memorandum would be duly considered.
