Dehradun, 19 Jan: Following the directions of the Minister, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ganesh Joshi, a significant increase has been approved in the honorarium of Agriculture Assistants posted at the Nyaya Panchayat level.
The monthly honorarium of Agriculture Assistants has been increased from Rs 8,300 to Rs 12,391, and the relevant government order has also been issued.
It is worth noting that Agriculture Assistants had been demanding an increase in their honorarium for a long time. Taking their demand seriously, Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi had issued necessary instructions to the Secretary, Agriculture, which subsequently led to this decision.
The Agriculture Minister stated that Agriculture Assistants play an important role in delivering government schemes and technical knowledge to farmers across the State. Boosting their morale and ensuring fair remuneration is a priority of the State Government. He expressed confidence that the increase in honorarium would provide financial support to Agriculture Assistants and enable them to serve farmers with greater dedication and enthusiasm.
Agriculture Assistants across the State have expressed their gratitude to the State Government and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi for the decision to enhance their honorarium.
