Dehradun, 19 Jan: On the second day of the 8th International Taekwondo Championship, Indian players maintained their lead with the declaration of results. The championship is being organised by the Uttarakhand Sports Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the National Taekwondo Committee at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Parade Ground, here.

Several thrilling bouts were witnessed between players from India and Nepal, in which the athletes displayed their best performances, on Sunday.

The first Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sports University, Amit Sinha, ADG, attended the event as the Chief Guest. He encouraged the players and honoured the technical officials and winning athletes by presenting medals. Also present on the occasion were Korean Grand Master Seog Kuk Jeong, General Secretary of Uttarakhand Sports Taekwondo Association Javed Khan, Associate Secretary Hina Habib, Finance Controller of the Uttarakhand Government Manish Upreti, IP Saxena, and other dignitaries.
