Roorkee, 23 Jan: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, an innovative online initiative in the field of education has been launched in Haridwar district. On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, under the guidance of District Magistrate Mayur Dixit and Chief Development Officer Dr Lalit Narayan Mishra, and with the coordination of Nodal Officer/DIET Principal Meraj Ahmed, a virtual pilot project for accessible education under ‘Mission Gyan Ganga’ was launched.
The objective of this project is to explain complex concepts of difficult subjects to students from classes 3 to 12 through simple, interesting, and high-quality video lessons. This initiative is considered a concrete step towards providing equal, accessible, and quality education to all students, in line with the National Education Policy-2020.
Officials stated that under Mission Gyan Ganga, concept-based video content prepared by subject-expert teachers will be made available, which will develop understanding, confidence, and interest in learning among students. This content will also prove helpful for teachers and will make classroom teaching more effective.
District Magistrate Mayur Dixit said that this project is a significant effort towards establishing Haridwar as a model district for educational innovation. Chief Development Officer Dr Lalit Narayan Mishra described it as an innovative educational experiment in the state and a model worthy of emulation by other districts.
DIET Principal Meraj Ahmed said that based on the success of the pilot project, it will be further expanded so that more and more students can benefit.
‘Mission Gyan Ganga’ is not just a project, but an initiative to make education a mass movement—a meaningful effort towards empowered teachers, empowered students, and an empowered society.
