Dehradun, 2 Feb: Senior Journalist and currently State Editor of News18 UP/Uttarakhand, Anupam Trivedi’s mother Geeta Trivedi passed away yesterday at Mahant Indresh Hospital, Patel Nagar, here. She was 87 years old. Her mortal remains were brought home at THDC Colony, Dehra Khas here, last evening, and were cremated at Kharkhari Ghat in Haridwar today.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt have expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of Geeta Trivedi.
CM Dhami visited the residence of Trivedi located at THDC Dehrakhas and met the bereaved family members. On this occasion, he offered deep condolences. He also prayed for the peace of the departed soul and sought divine strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss with patience and fortitude.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and Director General, Information, Bansidhar Tiwari also visited the residence of Anupam Trivedi to meet the family members and convey their sympathies. Joshi also expressed deep condolences over passing away of Geeta Trivedi and prayed for peace to the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
On behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), State Party President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt prayed to God to grant the departed soul a place at his lotus feet and to provide the bereaved family members with the strength to endure this immense loss.
BJP’s State Media In-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan also extended his condolences on the demise of the senior journalist’s mother. He offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul and sought divine intervention to give the grieving family the courage to bear the tragic loss.
