PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun The budget session of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha will be held at Bharadisain ( Gairsain) in Chamoli district from March 9 to 13. In a letter to the secretary Vidhan Sabha, the principal secretary Parliamentary Affairs Dhananjay Chaturvedi said on Tuesday that the first session of the year 2026 of the fifth Vidhan Sabha of the State will be convened at Bharadisain, Gairsain. The decision to hold the important budget session at Gairsain, the summer capital of the State was taken by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The cabinet in its recent meeting had authorised the CM to take a decision on the dates and duration of the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. Pertinently the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha was not held at Gairsain last year due to the ongoing maintenance works in Bharadisain Vidhan Sabha building. The session was held in Dehradun. It is expected that the Pushkar Singh Dhami government will table a budget of about Rs 1.15 Lakh crore during the session. The State government had tabled a budget of Rs one lakh crore last year.
