PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun In Dehradun, a total of 66.62 per cent of the mapping work under the special intensive revision (SIR) has been completed so far. This information was shared during a booth-wise review meeting on SIR conducted across 10 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the district. The meeting was held in the municipal corporation auditorium in Dehradun on Monday chaired by the additional chief electoral officer (CEO), Vijay Kumar Jogdande. As per the details that emerged out of the meeting, the mapping progress in the Dehradun district varies from constituency to constituency: 99.03 per cent in Chakrata, 70.47 per cent in Vikasnagar, 71 per cent in Sahaspur, 56.94 per cent in Dharampur, 62.64 per cent in Raipur, 61.19 per cent in Rajpur, 61.36 per cent in Dehradun Cantt, 63.52 percent in Mussoorie, 70 per cent in Doiwala and 60.87 per cent in Rishikesh. Jogdande issued necessary guidelines, directing the electoral registration officers (ERO) concerned to conduct weekly reviews of the work done by the booth level officers (BLOs). He emphasised the need to deploy officers from the Tehsil along with the BLOs at those booths where the mapping percentage is low to ensure the timely and effective completion of the mapping work. The chief development officer (CDO) Abhinav Shah and municipal commissioner Namami Basnal were present at the meeting among others.
