DEHRADUN, 28 Feb: A meeting of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) was convened on Saturday at St George’s College, Mussoorie. The session was addressed by Manoj Singh Rana, Civil Judge/Judicial Magistrate, Mussoorie and Secretary, Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA).
In his address, Rana spoke about the role of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA) in bridging the gap between the Executive and the Judiciary. He highlighted that these institutions aim to resolve minor legal issues and provide accessible justice to all citizens. He further emphasised the importance of educating children about the basic laws of the country and making them aware of their legal rights and responsibilities. The committee members unanimously endorsed his advice and suggestions.
This was the first ICC meeting of the year 2026. The agenda focused on welcoming new ideas and encouraging constructive suggestions from members to ensure the effective functioning of the Committee in the year ahead.
The meeting was presided over by Chairperson, Juhi Sabharwal and Secretary Diksha Matta. The session was attended by Brother Felix Kumar, Vice-Principal of St George’s College; Ajay Arya (Advocate); Vijender Negi (Nagar Palika Parishad, Mussoorie); Manoj Saili (Advocate); Dr Sneha Panwar; Himani Joshi Kumai; Beena Vincent and Sunita Jakhmola.
Members deliberated on matters concerning the Committee’s objectives and responsibilities, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. The meeting concluded with a prayer, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all.
