PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Haridwar Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami received appreciation from Union Home minister Amit Shah in his address on Saturday. Shah said in the last four years, CM Dhami has worked to address all the problems of Uttarakhand, one by one and consequently the State is now progressing on the path of development at a very fast pace. He said that in the last nine years, not even a single allegation of corruption has been levelled against the BJP government. Shah also praised the CM for enacting and implementing a very strict anti-copying law in the State. He said that the new law has brought transparency in the process of recruitment in the State. Shah said that the CM Dhami deserves appreciation for removing encroachment from 10,000 acres of government land in Uttarakhand and taking action against illegal encroachment. He said that the per capita income in the State has increased appreciably and the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has increased from Rs 1.50 lakh crores to Rs 3.50 lakh crores. Shah appreciated Dhami for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand which has become the first State in the country to have this law. He said that the UCC will be effective in stopping unnatural change in the demography.
