Dehradun, 5 Mar: ‘Sangeetanjali Shashtriya Sangeet Samiti’, in collaboration with the Doon Library and Research Centre, organised a Holi song and dance programme at the library Amphitheatre on 2 March.
Under the leadership of All India Radio’s top-grade sitar player Pandit Robin Karmakar, graded artists of All India Radio presented Holi songs and dances, enchanting the audience with their splendid performance. Artists performed Garhwali, Kumauni, Ruhelkhandi, Braj, and Rajasthani Holi songs. A team of about 20 artists gave their performances, which thrilled the audience. Apart from artists, various leading personalities like Avi Nanda, Neera Nanda, Jyotish Ghildiyal, Vinay Dhyani, Bharti Anand, Office Bearers Suneet Agarwal, Gyan Prakash Gupta, Devendra Kandpal, Jagriti Dobhal, Kamaljeet, Indra Pali, Vandana, and guests Ajay Joshi, Kulbhushan Naithani, RD Bhardwaj, Arun Afsal, Jagdish Babla, Ravindra Sharma, and officials of the Doon Library DrYogesh Dhasmana, Chandra Shekhar Tewari, JB Goyal, DK Pande, Dr Lalitha Prasad, Sunder Singh Bisht, etc., were also present.
