Dehradun, 5 Mar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that the upcoming rally to be held in Haridwar on 7 March in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be historic and grand.
BJP’s State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan today claimed that there is unprecedented enthusiasm among the public regarding the programme marking ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, Bemisaal 4 Saal’, and around 1.5 lakh people are expected to participate in the event. Taking a dig at allegations made by the Congress regarding mobilisation of crowds, he remarked that for them even gathering a thousand people is a difficult task and they are well aware of the capacity of BJP workers, therefore their concern is natural.
Chauhan asserted that there is immense enthusiasm among party workers and the general public regarding the Home Minister’s visit to Haridwar. He said that the occasion is also very special as it marks the completion of four years of ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar’. He said that during the tenure of previous BJP governments as well as the current term of the Dhami government, the state has been moving rapidly on the highway of development. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the works undertaken by the state government in the fields of infrastructure development and connectivity are reflected in the record-breaking number of tourists visiting the state and the year-round conduct of the Char Dham Yatra. He added that significant growth in per capita income, improvements in the lives of farmers and labourers and initiatives aimed at the empowerment of women have placed the state ahead in the race of developing states. With the support of the Centre, the government is ensuring healthcare for all, tap water supply to every household and addressing concerns related to fuel and food grains for poor families. He said the government has also succeeded in creating an atmosphere where industrialists are ready to invest Rs 3.25 lakh crores in the state. Areas earlier affected by mafia such as those linked with mining have also been reformed and have now become a major source of revenue for the state. Earlier it was almost impossible to conduct even a single examination without incidents of cheating, but now more than 28,000 government jobs have been provided to youth in a fair and transparent manner, Chauhan stressed.
Chauhan further said that under previous opposition governments, a report card of governance was never presented before the public. However, the BJP government makes its work report public every year. Her reminded that the government had recently reached out to people at the Nyaya Panchayat level for two months under the ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ programme to address public grievances. Lakhs of people in the state benefited from this initiative and their lives have undergone significant transformation during these four years. This, he said, is the reason why people are eager in record numbers to receive the inspiring guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chauhan shared that Amit Shah will also interact with beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes, including those related to citizenship, during the programme. He said the party always aims to ensure that the benefits of public welfare programmes reach the maximum number of people. In this connection, efforts are being made particularly across all Assembly segments of the Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency to ensure public participation. Chauhan expressed confidence that more than 1.5 lakh people will participate in the Home Minister’s programme in Haridwar on 7 March.
