Regions once marked by unrest and fear are now setting new benchmarks of development. Infrastructure linked to all key sectors, including roads, education, health, railways and air connectivity, is being strengthened across the state. He reminded that, in 2023, the state organised the Global Investment Summit, which resulted in investment agreements worth Rs 3.56 lakh crores, of which projects worth more than Rs 1 lakh crore have already been grounded.

He reminded that Uttarakhand had hosted a global event such as the G20 for the first time, and had also organised the National Games in which athletes from the state won more than 100 medals and that this helped Uttarakhand secure the seventh position in the medals tally. Several other landmark decisions have also been taken, including the launch of winter pilgrimage to promote year-round tourism in the state.
Dhami said that over the past four years the state’s economy has grown by more than one-and-a-half times. In the last year alone, the state’s GSDP recorded a growth of 7.23 per cent and per capita income has increased by 41 per cent.
