Roorkee, 6 Feb: Quantum University on Friday hosted an inspiring and unconventional workshop on the art of balancing, led by renowned Indian balancing artist and recent world record holder Gautam Vaishnav. The session was conducted for MBA first-year students, offering them a unique opportunity to experience creativity, science, and life lessons through the practice of rock balancing.
During the workshop, students explored the fascinating technique of balancing rocks on extremely small points. Gautam Vaishnav demonstrated how balance is achieved through careful positioning and stability, explaining that at least three contact points are essential to create a stable balance. The practical activity encouraged students to experiment with patience and precision while understanding the basic scientific principles behind the art.
Beyond the physical technique, the workshop carried deeper lessons about personal growth and mindset. Gautam Vaishnav emphasised that patience, focus, perseverance, and attention to detail are the keys not only to mastering balancing art but also to maintaining balance in life and career.

The interactive session engaged students actively, allowing them to try the balancing techniques themselves and reflect on the connection between concentration, creativity, and problem solving. Participants described the experience as both relaxing and intellectually stimulating.
The workshop served as a refreshing learning experience, reinforcing Quantum University’s commitment to providing students with diverse exposure beyond conventional classroom education. Through such experiential sessions, the university continues to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development among its students.
