Congress-BJP face-off
Regarding the proceedings of the Assembly session, Leader of the Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the opposition discharged its responsibility with full honesty during the budget session. The government wanted to end the budget session prematurely, but we cornered the government in the House through various rules, including question hour. Yashpal Arya said that the opposition left the government speechless on many issues within the House. Yashpal Arya also said that the government’s budget is nothing but a bundle of lies. There’s nothing in this budget to praise. Congress MLAs Manoj Tiwari and Harish Dhami said that the session exposed the government. Ministers had no answers to departmental questions, and officials presented inaccurate figures.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Vinod Kandhari said that the Congress party only opposed the government during the budget session. Congress did not participate in the Business Advisory Committee meeting and started citing rules in the House. Congress said that the session should be longer, but by not attending the Business Advisory Committee meeting, Congress’s statement proved to be merely political rhetoric.
