According to official data, the maximum daytime temperature in Dehradun stood at 26.3┬░CтАФtwo degrees lower than the seasonal average.
Similarly, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.7┬░CтАФthree degrees below normal. Similar conditions prevailed in other parts of the state. Meanwhile, Mussoorie has been gripped by biting cold following three consecutive days of rainfall. The chilly winds have compounded the difficulties faced by residents, who are now relying on bonfires to keep warm during the mornings and evenings. On Saturday, the weather in the city remained pleasant during the morning hours thanks to bright sunshine; however, clouds gathered over the skies later in the afternoon.
Cold returns in Mussoorie; Residents Turn to Bonfires for Warmth
Following three days of continuous rain, the city has been engulfed by biting cold. The cold winds have exacerbated the hardships faced by the local population, prompting them to seek warmth around bonfires during the morning and evening hours. On Saturday, the weather in the city was delightful in the morning as bright sunshine bathed the area, but clouds rolled in during the afternoon, leading to a drop in temperature. Consequently, both locals and tourists were seen huddling around bonfires at various locations across the city. Tourists who had arrived in Mussoorie to enjoy the weather were also seen bundled up in heavy winter clothing.
