Dehradun, 5 May: The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Prof Shivendra Kumar Kashyap, paid a courtesy visit on state Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi at his camp office, here, today.
During the meeting, Minister Ganesh Joshi extended his best wishes to Prof Kashyap on his new responsibility and wished him a successful tenure.
Key issues such as agricultural research, the expansion of modern technologies, and the dissemination of innovations to farmers were discussed in detail. The Minister emphasised that universities play a crucial role in strengthening the agricultural sector in the state, and that Pantnagar University has been a leading institution in this regard.
He also expressed confidence that Prof Kashyap’s academic and administrative experience—particularly his expertise in agricultural communication, teaching, and institutional development—will help take the university to new heights.
