PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun The national president of BJP Nitin Nabin has instructed MPs and MLAs of the party in the State to play a key role in the assembly-wise action plan to expand the party’s ideological family. He said that the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs will be assigned the responsibility to camp in the seats lost in the Vidhan Sabha elections of 2022. The directive was given by Nabin during the meeting with the MPs and MLAs of the party here on Friday. Giving information about the meeting, the president of State BJP Mahendra Bhatt said that the national president gave important guidelines for victory in the Vidhan Sabha elections. He said that all the MPs and MLAs have been directed to travel to villagers to inform them about the works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last 12 years. Bhatt said that the president directed that a list of 100 intellectuals, influential and prominent people from each assembly should be prepared and they should be contacted to expand the ideological family of the party. In the meeting Nabin directed the MLAs to work with the Mandal level party organisation where booth level teams have not been constituted yet. “Since our party’s election system is booth-based, the National president provided specific guidance on how to empower booths and their workers for election purposes,’’ he said. Bhatt said that the MPs and MLAs were also asked by the party president to take the details of the State government’s schemes to the public. He said that the president suggested that a pamphlet covering the 10-year term of the State BJP government should be prepared and in it the local MLAs should also mention their work. Earlier in the day, Nabin paid homage to the former chief minister major general ( retd) BC Khanduri at his residence. Nabin impresses with immaculate planning, knowledge DEHRADUN: The national president of BJP Nitin Nabin impressed everyone with his immaculate planning, knowledge and the pinpointed approach during his interaction with the Members of Parliaments (MP) and MLAs of the party on Friday. It is learnt that Nabin had come fully prepared for the interaction and had micro level knowledge of the issues in different parts of the State. The national president took extensive review of the performance of the party leaders, their presence on the social media platforms and their involvement in the social activities. Senior MLA Munna Singh Chauhan said that Nabin focussed on having a worker -friendly and people- friendly approach. He said that the national president impressed everyone with his research and knowledge. Nabin informed the MPs and MLAs about the current challenges and the perception of the people. Chauhan said that Nabin inquired about the role the MLAs and MPs are playing in creating political perception on the national issues and the messages of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
