Dehradun. The date for the final publication of the voter list under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in Uttarakhand has been revised. The Election Commission of India has now set October 3, 2026, as the date for the final publication of the voter list in the state. According to the previously issued schedule, the final voter list was slated for publication on September 15, 2026. Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam provided an update on the progress of the Special Intensive Revision campaign during a press conference held on Monday at the Secretariat media center. He stated that hearings for over 99 percent of the 24.30 lakh notices issued in the state have been completed. Additionally, the hearing process for approximately 40 percent of the claims and objections related to Forms 6, 7, and 8 has also been concluded. Hearings on Claims and Objections to Continue Until September 28 The Chief Electoral Officer informed that, in accordance with the revised schedule issued by the Election Commission of India, hearings on claims and objections will continue until September 28, 2026. Subsequently, the final publication of the voter list will take place on October 3, 2026. He added that work is being carried out according to the prescribed procedure to ensure the voter list becomes more accurate and up-to-date under the revision campaign.
