To showcase the religious, spiritual, and cultural identity of the Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 to the nation and the world, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the official logo, website, and anthem for the event on Monday at the Mela Control Building (CCR) auditorium. These mediums mark a significant step towards presenting the unique identity of the Kumbh on a grand scale, providing authentic event-related information digitally, and conveying the message of the Kumbh’s arrival to the masses. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the Kumbh as a magnificent celebration of India’s ancient spiritual traditions, Sanatan culture, and public faith. The Haridwar Kumbh holds immense religious significance for millions of devotees. The state government is committed to organizing a divine and grand Kumbh Mela in 2027, and all necessary arrangements will be ensured to make the event safe, well-organized, and accessible. He added that the official logo, website, and anthem would play a pivotal role in effectively presenting the Kumbh’s identity while connecting devotees and the general public to the event. Logo Embodies Haridwar’s Religious and Cultural Heritage The official logo for the Haridwar Kumbh 2027 simultaneously reflects Haridwar’s religious identity, reverence for the River Ganga, and the characteristics of Sanatan tradition. It depicts Goddess Ganga, the Har Ki Pauri area, the Dhanush Bridge, and the divine radiance of a sunrise. Additionally, the logo incorporates the statue of Lord Shiva, sages and seers, symbols of Sanatan tradition such as the Trishul (trident) and Damru (drum), as well as the hills of Goddess Mansa Devi and Goddess Chandi Devi. These symbols within the logo express Haridwar’s spiritual significance and the cultural heritage of the Kumbh. The logo will be used on promotional materials, publications, and digital platforms related to the event, helping to present a unified visual identity for the Kumbh and streamline its publicity. The Mela administration had invited designs from the state’s youth and students for the creation of the Kumbh Mela 2027 logo. The selection committee evaluated 13 outstanding and original designs from among the hundreds of entries received. Subsequently, the design submitted by Madhu Sharma—a resident of Vikas Colony in Jagjitpur, Haridwar—was selected as the best. The official logo for Haridwar Kumbh 2027 was finalized based on this design. Official website to provide information regarding Kumbh The official website for Kumbh Mela 2027 (https://haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in) will serve as a medium to disseminate authentic information about the event to pilgrims, visitors, and the general public. The availability of information on this digital platform will ensure organized dissemination of details regarding the event. This will help connect pilgrims living in various parts of the country and abroad with the Kumbh. Beyond sharing information on preparations and the event itself, the website will be instrumental in showcasing Haridwar’s religious identity on a grand scale. Message of arrival to resonate through the song “Kumbh Ka Parv Aa Gaya” The launch of the official song for Kumbh Mela 2027 was a highlight of the ceremony. Opening with the lines “Kumbh ka parv aa gaya” (The festival of Kumbh has arrived), the song—which brought joy to the hearts of the sadhus and saints—gives voice to the happiness surrounding the event’s arrival, the enthusiasm of the seers, and the faith of the pilgrims. The song was composed, sung, and set to music by Haridwar-based singer Raghav Raja. It aims to convey the message of Kumbh’s arrival to the masses and strengthen the cultural connection with the event. Music and song have long been powerful mediums for expressing public sentiment during religious gatherings; thus, the official song will play a pivotal role in conveying the traditions, exuberance, and spiritual atmosphere of the Kumbh to the general public. Blending tradition with modern communication channels Haridwar Kumbh 2027 presents a significant opportunity to showcase Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage, religious tourism, and cultural identity on a broad scale. The official logo will provide a distinctive visual identity to the event. The website will serve as a medium for the digital dissemination of information, while the song will express the emotions associated with the arrival of the Kumbh. The coordinated use of these three mediums will enable the presentation of the Kumbh’s religious significance, cultural grandeur, and traditions on a vast scale. Combining traditional spiritual dignity with modern communication channels will help convey the message of the Kumbh to national and international audiences. This will assist in showcasing Haridwar’s religious identity and the unique nature of the Kumbh to devotees from across the country and the world.
