Karwa Chauth is traditionally observed by married Hindu women, many of whom undertake a nirjala fast—abstaining from both food and water—for the well-being and longevity of their husbands. The festival is marked by prayers, rituals, and festive gatherings, with preparations gaining momentum across the state. With the festival approaching, shopping centres and local markets remain abuzz as women make arrangements for the occasion.
