Abrogation of Article 370 ushers in new wave of development in J & K: Dhami Thursday, 19 September 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that after abrogation of article 370, a new wave of development has arrived in Jammu and Kashmir and the people of Jammu are getting its direct benefit. He was addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate from Bani assembly constituency Jeevan Lal on Wednesday. He said that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee gave the supreme sacrifice for ‘Ek Desh, Ek Vidhan and Ek Nishan’ and his dream was fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  The CM said that the Vidhan Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir are historic. He said work in the fields of road, health, education, railways and power is being done at a fast pace in Jammu and Kashmir. Dhami said that the union minister Jitendra Singh is representing the people of Bani in centre and the victory of Jeevan Lal from the constituency will help in formation of a double engine government in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed confidence that people will vote BJP to power in Jammu and Kashmir. The CM added that the number of tourists visiting Jammu and Kashmir has increased two and half times. Now there is ‘minimum terrorism and maximum tourism’ in Kashmir. He said that on one hand PM Modi is giving guarantee of safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir and on the other the Congress, PDP and National Conference (NC) will bring back article 370 and fan separatism in Kashmir. These parties have pushed Jammu and Kashmir in the slush of corruption.  Cautioning the people from casting their votes for independent candidates, Dhami said that the elections are between three families and youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The union minister Jitendra Singh, BJP candidate Jeevan Lal, district in charge Jagvir Singh and other leaders accompanied Dhami in the public meeting and the road show.
