Dehradun, 16 Mar: On the occasion of Women’s Day Week, All India Freedom Fighters Samiti, Delhi, organised the “Change Maker Woman 2026 Award” event under the leadership of Women Cell Chairperson Dr Asha Lal.During the programme, inspiring women from diverse fields were felicitated with mementos and shawls for their remarkable contribution towards social change. The awardees included Indrani Pandhi, Reena Jaggi (Principal, Green Field School & Special Educator), Priya Gulati (Founder Trustee, Tejasvini Charitable Trust), Hereshsha Verma (Medicinal Mushroom Production), Anju Bari (Samarpan Charitable Trust), Divya Bansal (A Step Foundation), Archie Bisht (MAD), Suchitra Agarwal (Managing Trustee, Samagra Trust), Sulochana Ishtwal (President, Rashtravadi Regional Party), and Mehar from Silent Bistro, a unit of Bajaj Institute of Learning for Deaf Children, andSushila Khatri – Aanganwadi workers’ leader.The award recognises women who are working in different fields such as supporting autistic and mentally challenged children, promoting menstrual hygiene awareness, empowering women entrepreneurs, social work, media, youth activism and community development, thereby contributing meaningfully to society.On the occasion, Dr Asha Lal said that the objective of the Change Maker Woman Award is to honour women who are selflessly working to bring positive change and inspire others to contribute towards building a better society.
