Dehradun, 23 Dec: Under the state government’s ambitious ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan Jan Ke Dwar, Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign, multi-purpose administrative camps were organised today at Sabhawala in Vikasnagar block and at the Kalsi block headquarters, bringing governance directly to rural residents and facilitating on-the-spot redressal of public grievances.
At Sabhawala, the camp was chaired by SDM Vinod Kumar where MLA Sahdev Pundir was the chief guest besides senior Block Pramukh Gulfam Ali and other public representatives. Here, the villagers were apprised of various government welfare schemes, while their complaints were heard patiently. A total of 117 grievances were received, of which 72 were resolved on the spot by the SDM. The remaining departmental matters were directed for disposal within 15 days, with instructions to submit compliance reports. Land disputes, irrigation, minor irrigation and tube well-related issues dominated the complaints. Residents of Majri village, including Prakash, Shamsher and Billo Devi, complained of illegal construction on their private land and alleged assault and use of abusive language. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate directed the Tehsildar to verify land records and ensure immediate resolution.
Meanwhile, a large multi-purpose camp was organised at Kalsi block under the chairmanship of Special Land Acquisition Officer and SDM Smrita Parmar. A large number of villagers, senior citizens, women and local representatives participated. Nineteen complaints related to water supply, irrigation, Panchayati Raj, child development, electricity, public works, education, revenue, forest and agriculture departments were received, of which 12 were resolved on the spot. The remaining issues were referred to concerned departments for prompt action. During the camp, information on welfare schemes was disseminated and as many as 1,207 beneficiaries received benefits through departmental stalls, reinforcing the government’s commitment to doorstep delivery of services.
