PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun  Finance and Parliamentary Affairs minister Prem Chand Aggarwal resigned from the cabinet on Sunday. His resignation comes after repeated protests by political and other organisations against his alleged use of derogatory words for Pahadis in the recent budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. Earlier in the day, Aggarwal, who is also the Rishikesh MLA, addressed the media and cited his past actions including those in the Uttarakhand statehood movement. He said that he was being unfairly targeted for political reasons. Later in the day, he met chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the CM residence and submitted his resignation.
