Dehradun, 1 Feb: State Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi today watched the live telecast of the Union Budget 2026–27 at his camp office along with party office-bearers, workers, and local residents. On this occasion, he described the Union Budget 2026 as an “inclusive and development-oriented budget” in the direction of a Developed India.
Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the Union Budget 2026–27 has been prepared keeping in mind the interests of every section of society and will take the country’s pace of development to new heights. He said that this budget will empower citizens and set the direction for India’s bright future. With its focus on a strong economic foundation, inclusive growth, and a long-term vision, the budget will prove to be a historic step towards realising the goal of “Viksit Bharat”. He added that special attention has been given to the uplift and empowerment of four key sections— the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The minister said that several important provisions have been made in the budget to increase farmers’ income, strengthen the rural economy, create new employment opportunities for youth, and promote the economic empowerment of women.
Expressing happiness over the Finance Minister’s announcement during the budget speech to further expand the government’s ambitious Lakhpati Didi scheme, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi praised the initiative. He said that more retail outlets will be opened across the country for the sale of products made by women from Self-Help Groups, which will help connect women directly with markets, create sustainable sources of income, and promote women entrepreneurship.
The Agriculture Minister said that the launch of the AI tool “Bharat-VISTAAR” announced in the budget is a visionary step. This AI-based tool will help farmers make better and more accurate decisions, leading to increased productivity and income. He also informed that Self-Help Enterprise Marts (SHE-Marts) will be launched to empower women-led rural enterprises, providing women entrepreneurs with better platforms to market their products.
Minister Ganesh Joshi also appreciated the provisions made for the tourism sector in the budget. He said that the decision to provide world-class training to tourist guides at prominent tourist destinations and to develop major archaeological sites as cultural and tourism hubs will give a new direction to tourism and create employment opportunities for local youth. He added that through rural development, women empowerment, agricultural advancement, and tourism promotion, this budget will help realise the goal of “Developed India.”
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this people-centric budget that will take the nation further along the path of development.
