Dehradun, 8 Dec: Students from 20 institutions and universities across the country are working to find technological solutions to challenges related to the Ministry of Ayush at Graphic Era. For this, a 36-hour Smart India Hackathon has been organised.
In the Smart India Hackathon, participating teams are working on AyurSutra Panchakarma Management, Cloud Practice Management, NAMASTE–ICD Integration API, and Blockchain-based Herb Traceability. Students from 20 reputed institutions and universities including Vellore Institute of Technology, Adani University, Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, Noida Institute of Engineering, and Delhi Technological College are participating. All teams have settled down with their topics, and winners will be selected based on the solutions developed during the intense 36-hour effort.
Graphic Era Deemed University Pro-Chancellor Dr Rakesh Sharma said that youth are the greatest strength of innovation, and their technical creativity can shape India’s future. He encouraged participants to create purposeful innovations and develop solutions that address real needs of society and the nation.
Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh said that the Smart India Hackathon strengthens the culture of innovation and problem-solving. This platform enables students to work on real challenges, adopt emerging technologies, and meaningfully contribute to the nation’s digital growth.
AICTE Assistant Director Akhilesh Kumar said that the Smart India Hackathon is not just a competition but a national movement that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and design-driven innovation among students. Such platforms connect young minds with real-world problems and inspire them to develop technology-based solutions.
AICTE Chairman Prof TG Sitharam and Vice Chairman Dr Abhay Jere addressed the participants online.
The Smart India Hackathon is being jointly organised by Graphic Era Deemed University and AICTE. The event included Graphic Era Hill University Vice Chancellor Dr Amit R Bhatt, Sagar Hariramani, Nodal Officer Dr Brijesh Prasad, along with other faculty members and students. The programme was conducted by Vidhi Kapruwan.
