
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun The Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed confidence that more than one lakh people will join the main silver jubilee celebration of the State’s foundation at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 9. Party leaders are reaching out to representatives and office-bearers to ensure maximum public participation. The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt urged party representatives and officials to mobilise people for the programme. He said that the State will move ahead in building a developed Uttarakhand and a developed country with the energy received from the PM’s guidance. Bhatt said that Modi has supported the development of Uttarakhand, which is reflected in the ongoing projects worth several lakh crore rupees under central support. He said that the PM’s presence on the 25th anniversary of statehood strengthens the occasion. Bhatt called on people to attend the main event and benefit from Modi’s address, adding that the State will continue to move ahead toward the goal of a developed Uttarakhand and a developed country. The party’s State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that Modi’s visit during the 25th foundation year is a moment of happiness for the State. He said that the party is working to make the main celebration on November 9 successful. According to him, the party aims to ensure that more people witness this stage of the State’s 25-year development journey. The organisation has assigned special responsibility to teams in Dehradun Mahanagar, Dehradun Gramin, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Roorkee, Kotdwar and Pauri based on travel convenience. MPs, MLAs and elected representatives from municipal bodies and district panchayats have been asked to connect more people with the event. Party office-bearers will also participate with their teams, as per Chauhan. He stated that the party expects public blessings from more than one lakh people because of the enthusiasm surrounding the silver jubilee and the public’s affection towards Modi.
